Fiesta

Ok, so it has been agreed that we will be selling indulgencies for Fiesta, but some details still need to be worked out. I will quickly list some of the ideas that have been floated so far and please comment on what you think of them so we can get the ball rolling on this.

That we sell different 'levels' of indulgencies depending on the act the buyer is looking to be forgiven of. The idea is 5 different levels, with 'level 1' being the lowest and 'level 5' being the highest in regards to how 'evil' the act is. The price for each level being $1 through $5 respectively. This idea seems to be popular with the group, but I may be wrong.

One suggestion is that these levels be based on the nine levels of Hell in Dante's Inferno. Since there are 9 levels hell, some levels would have to be combined so we only had 5.

The 9 levels of hell, in order, are;

Level 1 Virtuous Non-Believers
Level 2 Lustful
Level 3 Gluttonous
Level 4 Prodigal and Avaricious
Level 5 Wrathful and Gloomy
Level 6 Heretics
Level 7 Violent
Level 8 Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers
Level 9 Treacherous

The idea is to combine 9 & 8, 7 & 6, 5 & 4, 3 & 2, 1, which give us 5 levels.

Also, the idea that the certificate that the person would recieve when buying forgiveness from us would be color coded in accordance with the National Terror Code System has been talked about. I really like that idea, I think it is just damn funny.

Now does everyone like this idea, or does someone have a different idea???

Also, we have to decide how much information the buyer has to give us in order to be forgiven.

For example, if someone wanted to be forgiven of 'lustfulness' does the person just have to tell us that or do we want more details, and if so how much?

If we do demand details of the trangression to be forgiven will those details be written on the certifacite of forgiveness that the buy will recieve from us?

For example if some guy wanted to be forgiven of cheating on his girlfriend would we end up writing all the details that he gives us on the certificate such as;

"John Doe is forgiven of cheating on his wife, Jane Doe, by receiving a blowjob from Susan Smith during spring break of the year 2007?"

Personally I think it is a 'either/or' situation. Either we don't ask for details and we just need to know what level of forgiveness they are buying, or we do need the details and also write the details on the certificate. Because if we don't write the details on the certificate why do we need them in the first place?

Also the idea of a $50 blank indulgence also to be sold also, along with the regular ones, has been suggested. Which I am fine with, just don't think anyone is going to buy it. Either way, for the $50 indulgence no details would be required, since it is a blank indulgence.

So that is all the major ideas that have been suggest so far. What do you think?

Ok, a few details were

Ok, a few details were decided on at the meeting yesterday.

First we are going the details route, and the details will be put on the certificate the buyer recieves from us.

Second, we are going to decorate our bouth as a church, with $ signs instead of crosses.

Third, The girls should dress as nuns and the guys should dress as priests. Hell if there is a girl that wants to dress as a priest, and a guy that wants to dress as a nun have at it.

Ok, so we have our indulgences and we have our electricity. The thing I want to start working on is decorating because I want to win best decorated again. I'm talking about all male members of AA dress in priest outfits, and maybe a pope out there too. I also really want to make the place really chapel-looking, mainly stained glass windows made from tissue paper. Most importantly i want to have fun, but winning is cool too.

I like the indulgence hat, I

I like the indulgence hat, I like the half-price-if-you-give-us-details thing... but I'd at least like to see drafts by the end of next week. I'll try to remember to write something and bring it in to the meeting, just to see how things work.
