We can start "decorating" the table two hours prior to the events... I was just thinking of getting some candy, making a poster or something and setting up my laptop with some atheist stand-up. It'd be great if we could print some shit to hand out... meeting times, days, whatever. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody again and to gettin' some hot freshman bootay.
We'll be tabling this Monday and Tuesday in the UC (probably sometime after noon until 4:30) and we'll be handing out goodies, pamphlets, STDs, etc... If you'd like to help man it, then just find the table, sit down, and try to answer some questions from people walking by and push the meeting this Wednesday.
I don't think I'll be able to table (I'm a poet and I didn't even realize it) this Tuesday... damn. Hopefully I'll be able to get out earlier... Sorry, guys.
I'll still be tabling the other days, so you don't have to cry yourself to sleep.

I fully intend to join AA. I went by the table and all that. I was just disappointed the meeting was so far from the fair. I'm new to the school and don't really know that many people yet. I'm spending most of the day as a loner. :(

Yeah, we were disappointed too. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a room during the first three days of school, so next Wednesday it is. We'd be happy to see you then, or sooner if you'd like to sit at the table with us and fend off people rambling about religious experiences they had during acid trips. It might be Tuesday afternoon in the UC, maybe Monday, but definitely Wednesday for the Involvement Fair (11-2).
I feel your pain; I was fairly lonely until I joined AA too. But, now that I've accepted atheism into my heart...
My brother and mother know. My dad doesn't, but he doesn't want to know anything about me that isn't cute and fluffy. My mother is dreading me joining this group, but supportive. Can't wait for Wednesday!
